Page 4 - Dolan and His Guests (continued)

This is a photo gallery of Dolan with guest artists at the New Folklore Center. He is always very proud to bring in special talent, and it often shows in the photographs.

Left: Dolan with the very tall and very talented Jon Messenger, a Sierra Vista resident whose resume includes a time as President of the Western Music Association. He's one of the best songwriters anywhere.

Right: Sue Harris and Dolan strike a pose. Dolan says her voice is "flute-like." She does a great job with whimsical songs, and also with sentimental songs.

Left: Although Marjorie Tyndall has not technically appeared on the AFP stage, she always brings her conertina when she comes to a show, entertaining the audience on the deck or grounds prior to the show. Now she's discovered that turkey basters make great instruments.

Right: Lucille Riley was the first "regular" guest at the New Folklore Center (after the Dedication ceremony and the Grand Opening). It was Lucille's idea to start signing the dressing room wall, and now, more than 3 years later, the wall is full of signatures.

Left:Tim Wiedenkeller & Jenny Bird. Things are not always what they seem (here they seem to be singing for their own enjoyment). Tim & Jenny asked Dolan to join them on stage at the end of the show. They sang "The Water is Wide," then "This LIttle Light of Mine," and Tim began a procession off stage and out to the deck. The packed house followed them outside, where they finished that song and then sang another song to the Arizona Sycamore. (It was an Arbor Day "Songs for Trees" concert.)

Right: Dolan signs the wall after Lucille.

Left: Tim Wiedenkeller & David Klaus performed with Dolan at the 2002 Cochise Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering. This photo is at the AFP where they did a 45-minute show. They also appeared on the stage at Buena Performing Arts Center that evening.

Right: Dolan with Sue Harris again (actually, this was earlier, after the fourth and final show of the Grand Opening weekend).
