Fan Pages

The entire Dolan Ellis site was created primarily for the enjoyment of his fans.  This page is the launching point for some special pages developed especially for fans.

First, there is the place where we have collected some of the mail that has come in, some from fans who have been following Dolan's career for decades, and others who just discovered him.  This page is called simply "Fan Mail."

Next, we have some testimonials from other artists on the "What Fellow Artists Say" page.

Then there is a scrapbook.  It's a little thin yet, but there is a wealth of material to be added.  In fact, if you have ticket stubs or special photos or any unusual memento of Dolan's career, we'd love to see it and consider posting it here.

There is a whole subsection of 40th anniversary (as Balladeer) items, including letters from fans and friends and fellow artists and family; a proclamation from Governor Janet Napolitano; a letter from Attorney General Terry Goddard, whose father Sam Goddard was the first to appoint Dolan as Balladeer; and an article from "The Best of Arizona" published in celebration of Dolan's 20th anniversary.

We also encourage Dolan's fans to visit other pages of interest:

The best section of all is "Songs."  From here you can go to the "Original Songs" or "Cover Songs" page, where you will be able to read descriptions of most of the songs in Dolan's current repertoire.  While there, you can view videos of many of the songs.  In fact, on those two pages and the "Humor" page, you will have a choice of about 120 video clips.  There is also a "Themes" page that gives you an idea of the songs that Dolan might include in a particular show theme, and is also valuable information for anyone interested in booking Dolan for a special show. 

There is also a Video page, added so fans will be able to find the video clips of Dolan rather easily.

Recordings is the launch page for information about all of Dolan's products that are offered for sale.  Each CD has a page of its own with samples of all songs on the CD.  From the Recordings page, one can place a PayPal order or can print an order form to mail with a check.

Career is a page that links to varied aspects of Dolan's professional life.  From there you can visit a page about his career with the New Christy Minstrels, for example.  You can learn about awards he has received.  There is also a link to Dolan's biography from this page. 

News is where we publish the current Balladeer Bulletin Board, complete with a schedule for the next few months.  The BBB is a monthly publication, and updates are posted here as they occur.  You can subscribe to the BBB (it's free) by sending an email. 

Visit the Booking page if you're interested in having Dolan present a concert for your organization, or if you're just interested in having him make a cameo appearance. 

The Arizona Folklore Preserve has a special spot on this site because it was Dolan's dream and he is the founder and remains as the Artist-in-Residence.  Dolan persisted when most would have given up, and created a beautiful facility in the lovely Ramsey Canyon.  It is Dolan's home base, where his projector system is always on the ready and all of his shows include his famous large-screen photography.
