Song of Spring

(This song description was provided by Dr. Lloyd Duvall, President, Sierra Vista Symphony, as written in the program notes for Dolan's appearance with the Symphony on April 15, 2005)

For more than thirty years, Dolan has crisscrossed Arizona’s mountains and deserts in one of his succession of trusty Jeeps, logging more than a million miles of Arizona travel. “One of my most treasured memories of all this travel is the beauty of the Sonoran desert in the spring. The display of wildflower colors after a rainy winter is breathtaking.”

With our ample rainfall this winter, the spring wildflower display has been another work of natural beauty. Song of Spring celebrates this beauty in both words and music. It is a fitting tribute to our desert surroundings and the blessings that nature has provided for us.

Dolan has made "Song of Spring" available as a greeting card, complete with the same slide show of his original photography that he uses when he presents the song on stage.
